Care Guide
Light: Bright, indirect light is essential to maintain strong variegation. Avoid direct sunlight, which can burn the lighter sections of the leaves. Too little light may cause the variegation to fade.
Water: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry. Keep soil lightly moist but never soggy. Variegated plants are more sensitive to overwatering, so ensure proper drainage.
Temperature: Thrives in 18–27°C (65–80°F). Keep away from cold drafts and sudden temperature fluctuations.
Soil: Use a well-draining aroid mix (potting soil + perlite + orchid bark). An airy mix helps protect the roots and supports healthy growth.
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity (60%+ ideal). While it can adapt to average indoor levels, higher humidity helps prevent browning on variegated areas.
Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer. Avoid over-fertilizing, as variegated plants can be more sensitive.
Growth & Support: Starts compact but will trail or climb as it matures. Providing a moss pole or stake encourages larger, more mature leaves and stronger growth.
Pruning: Trim leggy or all-green growth to encourage more balanced variegation. Pruning also helps maintain a fuller shape.
Repotting: Repot every 1–2 years or when root-bound. Best in spring when growth resumes.
