Plantalure Shipping Policy
Thank you for choosing Plantalure for your plant needs. Please review our shipping policy for important information regarding order processing, shipping methods, plant care upon arrival, and our Live Arrival Guarantee.
1. Processing Time
Order Fulfillment
Orders are typically processed within 2–3 business days. During peak seasons, sales events, holidays, or periods of high order volume, processing times may be longer.
Shipping Schedule & Cut-Off Time
To ensure the safe arrival of live plants, Plantalure ships orders on Monday and Tuesday only.
Weekly Shipping Cut-Off: Tuesday at 12:00 PM (Noon EST).
Orders placed after the weekly cut-off may be held and shipped the following Monday to avoid plants being delayed in transit over weekends.
Plantalure may also postpone shipments before statutory holidays or during extreme weather conditions to protect plant health and reduce transit risks.
Order Confirmation & Tracking
Customers will receive an order confirmation email after purchase and a shipping confirmation email with tracking information once their order has been packed and shipped.
Please note that delivery estimates begin once the carrier has accepted the package, not when the order is placed.
2. Shipping Methods
We ship live plants across Canada using Canada Post and Purolator, depending on destination and service availability.
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on package size, weight, and delivery location.
Available Options
Standard/Ground Shipping (3–7 Business Days)
- Suitable for hardy plants and moderate weather conditions.
Expedited Shipping (1–3 Business Days)
- Recommended for rare, delicate, high-value, or temperature-sensitive plants.
Transit times are estimates provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed.
3. Packaging & Plant Protection
Each plant is carefully packaged to minimize movement and reduce the risk of damage during transit.
Depending on weather conditions, we may include:
- Insulation
- Heat packs
- Cold packs
- Protective wrapping
These protective materials are provided at no additional charge when deemed necessary.
Large Plants
For shipping safety, certain large plants may be shipped without decorative pots.
Weather Protection
Plantalure monitors weather conditions at both the shipping destination and our facility. We reserve the right to delay shipment when extreme temperatures may put plant health at risk.
4. Shipping Within Canada
We currently ship to all Canadian provinces and territories.
Please note:
- We do not ship to PO Boxes.
- Remote locations may experience longer transit times.
- Additional shipping charges may apply to certain remote or rural areas.
5. International Shipping
At this time, Plantalure ships within Canada only.
Due to phytosanitary regulations, import requirements, and permit restrictions, we do not currently offer international shipping.
6. Receiving Your Plants
To give your plants the best start after transit:
- Unpack your plants as soon as possible after delivery.
- Inspect them carefully upon arrival.
- Place them in appropriate lighting and environmental conditions.
- Allow time for acclimation before repotting, fertilizing, or making significant environmental changes.
Some signs of shipping stress are normal and do not indicate poor plant health.
For additional guidance, please visit our "What to Expect When Your Plant Arrives" section.
7. Shipping Delays, Damage & Dead on Arrival (DOA)

- Leaf loss
- Cosmetic damage
- Minor root loss
- Dehydration

Plantalure is not responsible for delays, lost packages, returned shipments, or damaged plants resulting from incorrect or incomplete addresses provided by the customer.
If an order is returned due to an incorrect address, additional shipping charges may apply for reshipment.

11. Extreme Weather Shipping
Plant health and safety are our priority.
Plantalure reserves the right to delay shipment during periods of extreme weather, including excessive heat, freezing temperatures, severe storms, or other conditions that may negatively impact plant health during transit.
Customers will be notified if a weather-related shipping delay becomes necessary.
12. Winter Shipping Notice
During colder months, insulation and heat packs may be included when appropriate. While every effort is made to protect plants during winter transit, Plantalure cannot guarantee against damage caused by prolonged carrier delays or extreme weather conditions outside our control.
Customers are encouraged to select expedited shipping whenever available during periods of cold weather.
13. Limitation of Liability
Under no circumstances shall Plantalure be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from shipping delays, carrier errors, weather-related issues, or plant performance after delivery.
