Nursery Pot Diameter

Philodendron Bipinnatifidum Variegata (often associated with tree philodendrons) is a rare and visually striking tropical plant prized for its dramatic foliage and bold variegation. This plant features large, deeply lobed leaves that can grow impressively wide, giving it a lush, architectural presence. What sets it apart is the irregular marbling of creamy white, soft yellow, and green across each leaf—no two leaves are ever the same, making every specimen uniquely beautiful.

As it matures, this philodendron develops a thick, trunk-like stem and aerial roots, giving it a sculptural, almost tree-like form that stands out in any indoor plant collection. Its tropical origins mean it thrives in warm, humid environments and appreciates bright, indirect light to maintain strong variegation.

Despite its exotic appearance, it is relatively manageable with the right conditions. It prefers well-draining soil, consistent moisture (without being waterlogged), and moderate humidity. Given space and proper care, it can become a stunning focal point in homes, studios, or plant displays.

What Makes It Special:

Rare Variegated Form – Large, deeply split leaves with unique marbling.
Easy Care With Basic Attention – A bit more attention than fully hardy, beginner plants.
✔ Expertly Repotted – Nestled in our premium 5-component soil blend for strong roots and perfect moisture balance.
Locally Grown & Acclimated – Thrives faster and stays healthier, already adapted to your home’s conditions. 🍁

🌿 Growth Habit:
Versatile in growth, ranging from climbing and vining to upright, self-heading forms depending on the variety. Produces aerial roots that benefit from support, encouraging larger, more mature foliage. Can also be grown trailing or allowed to grow upright, forming a fuller, bushier appearance over time.

Care Guide

Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light. Adequate light is essential to maintain strong variegation. Avoid direct sunlight, which can burn the lighter portions of the leaves.

Water
: Water when the top 2–3 inches of soil are dry. Keep soil lightly moist but never soggy. Overwatering can lead to root rot.

Soil: Use a well-draining, airy mix such as potting soil combined with perlite and orchid bark. Good drainage is essential.

Temperature: Ideal range is 18–27°C. Protect from cold drafts and sudden temperature drops.

Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity but adapts well to average indoor levels. Higher humidity encourages healthier, larger foliage.

Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer once a month during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce feeding in fall and winter.

Pruning & Maintenance: Remove yellowing or damaged leaves to encourage new growth and maintain appearance.

Tips: Provide space for expansion as it matures into a large, statement plant. Rotate occasionally for even growth.
