How are the plants packaged?
All live plants are carefully packaged to ensure safe delivery. We use protective materials such as polyfill, cardboard, paper, stretch wrap, and tape to keep each plant secure and stable during transit.
What medium do you ship your plants in?
Most of our plants are shipped pre-potted in our premium 5-component soil blend, specially formulated to promote healthy root growth and balanced hydration. This blend includes perlite, tree fern, coco coir, fir bark, charcoal, and pumice.
What conditions do you grow your plants under?
All of our live plants are grown under full-spectrum LED lights for 12–14 hours daily. Our indoor nursery is maintained at a consistent 70°F–78°F with 45%–55% humidity. For species that prefer higher humidity, plants are gradually acclimated to room conditions over several weeks before being offered for sale.
Do you inspect for pests?
All of our plants are carefully monitored for pests, including spider mites, flat mites, thrips, fungus gnats, mealybugs, aphids, and scale. Leaves are cleaned, and a final pest check is performed before shipping to ensure healthy, thriving plants.
Some plants may occasionally carry tiny beneficial insects - such as cucumeris mites or Neoseiulus californicus - used for pest prevention on our mother plants. These insects are harmless and will not damage your plant.
What to do when my plant arrives?
Unpacking & Acclimation:
Carefully remove all packaging and check the soil. If it feels dry, lightly water the plant and place it in indirect light. Allow the plant to acclimate for at least a week before disturbing the roots. Full acclimation may take several weeks to a month or longer, during which yellowing leaves can appear due to shipping stress or natural aging.
Some plants may retain their original propagated leaf, which can yellow and die as new growth emerges. We leave this leaf on to maximize growth, removing it before shipping only if it begins to yellow.
Please ensure you understand how to care for your plant. We are not responsible for plant care after it has been received.
