Light: Bright indirect light is ideal. Tolerates medium light, but growth will slow. Avoid direct sun - it can scorch the leaves. More light = larger leaves and better fenestration over time
Water: Water when the top 2–3 inches of soil are dry. Keep evenly moist, never soggy. Overwatering can lead to root rot. Reduce watering slightly in cooler month.
Soil: Use a well-draining, airy mix. Ideal blend: potting soil + orchid bark + perlite. Good drainage is essential
Temperature: Prefers 18–28°C (65–82°F) Avoid cold drafts and temperatures below 15°C (59°F)
Humidity: Enjoys moderate to high humidity. Average home humidity is usually sufficient. Higher humidity encourages larger, more dramatic leaves
Fertilizer: Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer. Use a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength. Pause feeding in fall and winter.
Pruning & Maintenance: Prune to control height or encourage bushier growth. Wipe leaves occasionally to keep them dust-free and healthy.
Toxicity: Toxic to pets if ingested
