Plant Care Guide

Light: No direct sun, not near a window. Medium - Medium bright indirect light in the AM or PM, typically from an east or west window. High - Bright direct or indirect light for much of the day, typically from a south window.

Soil
: pumice, perlite, and high-quality potting soil in roughly equal parts—to ensure rapid drainage and robust aeration.

Water
: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry to the touch. Golden Violin prefers to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid overwatering—soggy soil can lead to root rot. When in doubt, wait. This plant handles dryness better than excess moisture..

Temperature: 18–28°C (65–82°F). Protect from cold drafts.

Humidity: 65–80% is best. A pebble tray, humidifier, or greenhouse cabinet will help keep the leaves lush and healthy.

Fertilizer: Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a diluted balanced or calcium-rich fertilizer.

Repotting: Use a chunky, well-aerated aroid mix (orchid bark, perlite, coco coir, sphagnum moss). Repot every 1–2 years or when roots outgrow the pot. Ensure excellent drainage to prevent root rot.

Maintenance & Tips: Wipe leaves gently with a damp cloth to keep them dust-free and healthy. Rotate the plant occasionally for even growth. Provide a support pole if leaves get large and need structure.

Safety:  Toxic to pets and humans if ingested. Keep out of reach.

Seasonal Care Tips

Spring
As light and growth increase, provide bright indirect light, refresh watering when the top 2–5 cm of soil is dry, and maintain steady warmth with moderate to high humidity.

Summer
Protect foliage from intense afternoon sun, water more consistently as soil dries faster, and keep humidity elevated. Avoid hot drafts and temperatures above 30°C.

Fall
As daylight softens, move plants closer to bright filtered light, gradually reduce watering, and keep them away from cool windows and drafts.

Winter
Provide the brightest available indirect light, water sparingly once the soil begins to dry, and maintain humidity while keeping plants comfortably above 15°C. Avoid placing them beside radiators or cold glass.
