Alocasia ‘Venom’ is a rare and striking tropical aroid prized for its dramatic, high-contrast foliage. Its elongated, arrow-shaped leaves feature deep green to almost black surfaces accented by bold, silvery-white veins that create a sharp, almost “venomous” pattern -hence the name. The foliage often has a slightly glossy texture, giving it a sleek, exotic look that stands out in any plant collection.
This plant grows upright with a structured, elegant form, making it perfect as a statement piece for shelves or floor displays. As it matures, the leaves become more defined and intense in color, enhancing its visual impact.

Care Guide
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the dark leaves. Too little light may slow growth.
Water: Keep soil lightly moist but not soggy. Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feels dry. Do not let it sit in water (prone to root rot)
Soil: Use a well-draining aroid mix. Potting soil + perlite + orchid bark works well. Needs airflow around roots.
Temperature: Thrives in 18–27°C (65–80°F) Keep away from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
Humidity: Loves high humidity (60%+)Ideal for humid rooms or near a humidifier. Low humidity may cause browning edges.
Fertilizer: Feed every 2–4 weeks during spring and summer. Use a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength.
Growth & Dormancy: May go semi-dormant in fall/winter (slower growth or leaf loss is normal)
Tips: Wipe leaves occasionally to keep them dust-free and glossy. Rotate the plant for even growth. Use a pot with drainage to prevent overwatering.
Pet Safety: Toxic if ingested (keep away -from pets and children)
