Care Guide
Light: Place your Alocasia ‘Lukiwan’ in bright, indirect light. It grows best near a window where it receives plenty of filtered light. Avoid strong direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Water: Keep the soil lightly moist but never soggy. Water when the top 2–3 cm (about 1 inch) of soil feels dry. Reduce watering slightly during cooler months when growth slows.
Soil: Use a well-draining aroid soil mix. A mix containing orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir helps keep the roots aerated while retaining enough moisture.
Temperature: Maintain temperatures between 18–27°C (65–80°F). Avoid cold drafts, air conditioners, or sudden temperature changes.
Humidity: As a tropical plant, it appreciates moderate to high humidity (60% or higher). It will grow best in a humid room, near a humidifier, or in a plant cabinet.
Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer to support healthy leaf growth.
Repotting: Repot when the plant becomes rootbound, typically every 1–2 years. Choose a pot with good drainage.
