Care Guide
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid strong direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves. A spot near an east or north-facing window works well.
Water: Keep the soil consistently lightly moist, but never soggy. Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry. Reduce watering during the plant’s slower growth period in fall and winter.
Soil: Use a well-draining, airy soil mix such as: Potting soil, Perlite, Orchid bark & Coco coir
Temperature: Ideal temperature: 18–27°C (65–80°F) Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 15°C (59°F).
Humidity: Loves moderate to high humidity (60% or higher).Benefits from: A humidifier, Pebble tray. Grouping with other tropical plants
Fertilizer: Feed with diluted balanced fertilizer every 4–6 weeks in spring–summer.
Pruning & Maintenance: Remove yellow or damaged leaves to encourage healthy growth. Wipe leaves occasionally to keep them dust-free and help photosynthesis.
Repotting: Repot every 1–2 years or when root-bound. Best in spring when growth resumes.
Pet Safety: Like most Alocasias, Alocasia Gold is toxic if ingested, so keep away from pets and children.
