Care Guide
Light: Provide bright, indirect light, Ideally a few feet from an east-facing window. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent leaf scorch. Rotate the plant periodically for even growth.
Water: Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil dries out. Reduce watering frequency in autumn and winter. Ensure good drainage to avoid overwatering and root rot. Always let excess water drain away.
Soil: Use a well-draining aroid potting mix containing
perlite, bark, or coco coir.
Temperature & Humidity: Maintain high humidity (60% or above) using a humidifier, pebble tray, or by grouping plants. Misting regularly helps, especially in dry environments.
Fertilizer: Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength. Do not fertilize in fall and winter when growth slows.
Pruning & Maintenance: If a stem starts producing mostly green leaves, prune back to the last leaf with strong pink variegation to encourage new, colorful growth.
Repotting: Repot young plants yearly, older ones every 2–3
years, using a slightly larger pot. Use well-draining soil, adding a layer of
expanded clay at the bottom. Transfer the plant, fill gaps with fresh mix, and
water well.
Safety: Toxic to pets if ingested, keep out of reach of cats and dogs.
