Care Guide

Light: Philodendron Paraiso Verde thrives in medium to bright indirect light or filtered sunlight. Ideal placements include an east-facing window (for gentle morning sun) or several feet away from a south-or west-facing window. Use a sheer curtain to filter intense afternoon light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can cause brown spots and stress the plant.

Water: Water when the top half of the soil feels dry. Always check that the plant isn’t sitting in standing water by monitoring cache pots and trays—excess moisture can lead to root rot. Expect to water more frequently during spring and summer and less in cooler months.

Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix that retains moisture. A blend of equal parts potting mix, orchid bark, and perlite works well. Alternatively, a high-quality aroid mix is a convenient pre-made option.

Temperature & Humidity: This tropical vine thrives in temperatures between
65–85°F and humidity levels of 60–70%. Keep it away from cold drafts, air vents, and sudden temperature changes. To boost humidity, consider using a
humidifier or placing it near other.

Fertilizer: Feed every four weeks during the growing season (spring through summer) using a liquid houseplant fertilizer diluted to half strength. Begin fertilizing when new growth appears in early spring and stop once temperatures begin to cool in the fall.

Pruning & Maintenance:
Routine pruning isn’t necessary, but
trimming can help manage size or encourage more variegation. Remove no more than 25% of the plant at one time. Cut away solid green leaves to redirect
energy to variegated growth, and always remove yellowing, damaged, or dead
leaves to keep the plant healthy. Use a moss pole or trellis to support its natural climbing habit.

Safety: Toxic to pets and humans if ingested. Keep out of reach.
